The Taoyuan Sports Technology Innovation Acceleration Program, organized by the Taoyuan City Sports Bureau, co-organized by the Taoyuan City Youth Affairs Bureau, and coordinated by the Taoyuan City Sports Development Foundation, held a DemoDay pitch competition yesterday at the Taoyuan Public Library's new main building. After fierce competition, Speed 3D Inc.'s global marketing manager Monica Hsueh won the unanimous favor of the jury with her latest "AR Lounge" and won the first prize. In addition to the NT$300,000 (US$10K) prize money, it also includes two round-trip tickets to Silicon Valley and 10 days and 9 nights of accommodation.
Speed demonstrated its innovative AI technology and AR applications at the event, perfectly presenting the interaction between fans and stars. This solution strengthens the greater business opportunities brought by sports entertainment and fan-based economy. The team stands out with its strong strength and technical advantages in the Asian market. This achievement not only brings great honor to the company, but also lays a solid foundation for its future international expansion.
Marvin Chiu, CEO of Speed, said: "I am very grateful to the Taoyuan City Government and Taoyuan Sports Development Foundation for providing this startup acceleration program, which allows everyone to use technology to assist the sports industry in innovative applications. The fan economy will really add considerable value to the sports industry in Taiwan and around the world and promote its vigorous development."
Taoyuan Mayor Chang Shan-cheng also said at the award ceremony: "The Taoyuan City Government has always taken the promotion of national sports and sports development as its mission. We have many well-known professional sports teams and actively promote national sports. While promoting the five digital policies, we also continue to work hard to create an innovative ecosystem to provide more support for start-ups. Therefore, we integrate sports, technology, and entrepreneurship, and introduce international venture capital counseling resources such as Acorn Pacific Ventures and 500 Global. We provide entrepreneurial bonuses and opportunities to visit Silicon Valley in the United States, hoping to help outstanding teams explore the North American market and bring Taiwan's entrepreneurial energy to the international stage."
This event attracted enterprises, investors, venture capital and start-up teams from home and abroad to participate and witness the innovative achievements of Taiwan's sports technology. Speed successfully demonstrated Taiwan's competitiveness in the global sports technology market and injected new impetus into future development. Speed will be invited to give a speech at the AWE Global Conference in the United States in June. After winning the first prize, it will start a visit to Silicon Valley in the United States in August with the Taoyuan City Government team. In addition to visiting international venture capital and well-known companies, it will also exchange the latest technology trends and market dynamics with the world's top investors, entrepreneurs and sports technology experts. This visit will open up more international market opportunities for Speed and further promote the innovative development of the sports technology field.
